Someone explain to me the point of a promise ring. I have always found it to be a ridiculous idea. The reason I bring it up is that my friend was just given one but yet her boyfriend is peculiar about her spending time with her guy friends. If you care for her so much, shouldn’t you trust her enough to let her spend time with friends of the opposite sex? Or are you just too...

Dublin Dr Pepper is no more. Real cane sugar Dr Pepper is dead. Non-hfcs Dr Pepper will be limited to Heritage Dr Pepper (made with real beet sugar!) whenever Dr Pepper/Seven-Up decides to make it available again. Which might not be ever? I’m sad.
It’s not dead! There’s a place in West Jefferson, NC that makes cane sugar Dr. Pepper…...

Gross, you guys. I want a violin. And a violin teacher. And a time machine to tell little me to find a violin appropriate to my little kid arms somehow and thereby not quit taking lessons.
Go for it! I know a professional violist who started playing when he was in college.
And, if you find that time machine, please know that there are multiple sizes of violins, scaled down for little kid...

What are you favorite crafty Christmas gifts?
I like getting crafty and I like giving people gifts. Usually by this time of year, I’ve got several things being made at once. I didn’t get to ring my craft gear when I moved, so I get to start over.
And I have no idea what to make for William this year.
Share your favorite things to make! Or favorite ideas!

For friends in the Northeastern US: check this photo project out.
